Jean grew up around Real Estate. Her grandmother and uncle were real estate brokers, and her father was the general contractor for the construction side of the family business. Jean graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. degree in Resource Recreation Management in the School of Forestry. After working in the Portland area as a Parks Planner/Coordinator, she decided to leave the rain of the Pacific Northwest and moved to Maui in 1989.
Jean started her own business planning and coordinating weddings on the island. After 15 years of brides, Jean decided to go back to her roots and took her Hawaii Real Estate licensing exam in 2005. She regularly takes courses to ensure that she is exposed to the latest tools in the real estate industry. She successfully completed the required curriculum for the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and the e-PRO certifications by the National Association of Realtors. She is also a member of the National Association of Realtors which gives her access to the latest software and information to service her clients.
Jean has lived in South Maui for over 25 years. She and her husband Steve have owned a resort vacation rental condo in South Kihei for over 12 years and she shares the experience of handling such a property with her investor clients.
