Born and raised in the metropolis of Honolulu, Regan spent many summers on the Big Island and was attracted to its natural beauty and diversity. He moved permanently to the historic town of Waimea in 1975 and has been enjoying the Big Island lifestyle ever since.

Regan has been a Realtor on the Big Island since 1986 and also holds a Broker's license. He currently lives along the Kohala Coast in Kohala Ranch, a 4,000 acre private ranch community where he worked as one of the project brokers, selling 3, 5 and 10 acre home sites.

In 2004, Regan assisted a mainland family in the purchase of 293-acre Kohala Coast oceanfront parcel, then part of a larger tract owned by Parker Ranch. This property has since been developed into a premier luxury subdivision, the Ranch at Puakea. The Ranch at Puakea has just thirteen 20 acre parcels and a few of these lots are still available.
